Rimini is a gelding that Carly started as a three-year-old for a client, and then later purchased in January of 2023, so she has known him all of his working life. His previous owner used him primarily for trail riding in the mountains. He was also used occasionally to chase cows in the arena and rope the dummy. Carly had a baby in December of 2023 and Rimini’s gaits are so smooth that she could trot comfortably on him throughout her whole pregnancy! Carly took him on several black diamond trails in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and he didn’t miss a beat; he can go all day without tiring. Rimini participated in the Pony Express Reride and carried a mochila at a gallop for many miles across the Wyoming prairies. He showed off his beautiful bay roan coloring in a well-attended parade that went right through the busy streets of downtown Golden. He placed second in the pro division of the Colorado Obstacle Challenge, conquering a bow and arrow, a log drag, a mattress, a teeter totter, backing a serpentine, and pivoting on top of a filled-in tractor tire. He also took many ribbons in the local gymkhana events, including barrels, poles, keyhole and flags. Carly’s interns love riding him bareback and double. Rimini is patriotic and proudly carried the American flag for the kids in Carly’s summer camp while doing speed drill maneuvers. Rimini is healthy as a horse! He has very strong feet and stands tied well for the farrier, even during a rainstorm. He really rates to his rider’s energy level, and will perform best for an advanced kid or intermediate adult (or, of course, anyone with more experience!) Don’t miss out on Rimini, he is the partner you are looking for! For more information, call or text Carly at 303-668-3762 or email carly@balanceintraining.com.
